EA is a massive company with money in the bank and many successful IPs.
Even if Titanfall tanks (it won't) it will be fine. Their business has not gambled everything on this one new IP.
Depending on how the Xbone version does or doesn't sell, what is liable to be reevaluated is their business preference of it and the PS4.
The PlayStation 4 is abbreviated to the PS4 which makes it sound more informal and friendly. The Xbox 360 never had this as it never had a nickname. So I actually think the Xbone name benefits the Xbox One because it now has it's own cool nickname. Yes there may be some past connotations with the TV, TV, TV reveal last year but who cares? Exciting! And in a relatively quiet month it's a good time to launch a new franchise. I'm sure it will sell gangbusters. Hopefully more publishers take notice and release games across the whole year and not just in the last quarter.

Thank God for Respawn discovering the problems with the XB one controller with their new game before launch and persuading Microsoft to optimise it for Titanfall. I just hope this doesn't have too much of an impact on non-shooter games. Microsoft cleverly designed the firmware of the controller to be updatable, but it will be a hassle to go through this process every time you want to get optimum settings for different game genres.
